Make The Most of this Lockdown 1.2

This is the sad part of this period. A lot of businesses are suffering and we all know how detrimental this is to the economy. I don’t want to bang on about the negative impact but I’m not entirely dismissing it.

The Positive & Negative

In the first lockdown there was a reduction in air pollution, which was a positive. People were able to see more of their loved ones as they had to work from home. Now this can be a negative and a positive depending on the type of relationship you have with your spouse or children.

Why This Can Also Be a Blessing

I’d say if you’re at home due to your work or job being shut then make the most of that time. There are people who dislike commuting to work and having to battle through the crowds to reach their work. A lot of people actually despise where they work and are now forced to work from home. People who actually detest colleagues and bosses they’re forced to work with and for the most part these feelings are justified if the workplace is populated with bad energies. If this is you then I’m going to assume you’re now regarding this as a blessing in disguise. If you are in any of those camps then I suggest you do all you can to now seek decent alternatives on how you spend that time away from a toxic workplace.

What I’m Doing

I’ve been off work for over a week and three days now, that due for the most part that I booked it off as a birthday holiday but currently need that time off to do my studies and prepare for an exam. I am a key worker and I’d booked my days off in advance so I had no idea a second lockdown would be on the cards this November.

Now I return to work tomorrow but I’m using this time off work and devoting it to my studies in IT whilst finalizing my book. This is just an example of using your time away from work correctly. I’d suggest you look into starting a side hustle, consider writing a book as a way to keep you active and occupied.

Please stay safe.
