I’m assuming much of the writing world is shocked by the departure of established author Eric Jerome Dickey. I too am saddened by his death at 59. He was well established with around 30 books behind him. This is a decent career and something we all should aspire to.
I’ve read a few of his books in the past such as “Waking with Enemies” and “Chasing Destiny”. One of them was set in my home town, London. While I’m just focusing on Sci-fi, Eric Jerome Dickey’s books are thrillers and love, centered on the African-American experience. I only learned he wrote a graphic novel about the Marvel character Storm.
To me Dickey’s one of the few authors who’ve inspired me to take this journey into developing my writing and I wanna acknowledge this.
